Description
Today there is a search for the truth, but the concept of what constitues success in this search is quite different to how it has been other times. Science dominates ways of thinking and research fields need to adapt to this new academic environment. For what was the big question for a long time, that is: what is the meaning of life; there is hardly space left in the academic world, because it seems that there isn't any way to determine if the responses proposed are adequate or not.
However it is certain that the big eternal questions will always continue to be there. For example: does human life have meaning?; what to say about suffering and death?; are human beings more than matter?; can the human condition be explained in full from a foundation of physics and chemistry?; what is a good life?; what reasons are there for living a good life, not a bad one?; should life be lived for one's self or others?; what is the importance of love?
