Food is an essential part of every Canadian summer. Whether it is a backyard barbeque, a church picnic in the park, or ice cream after a day at the beach, many of our summer memories are built around treats for our taste buds.
Unfortunately, for many countries around the world the ability to celebrate with food is rapidly disappearing. In fact, for many people food is getting harder to come by each year. That's because population growth and over-farming are making the land less fertile.
CRWRC is working to help farmers overcome this problem by teaching people to give back to the land through natural sources of fertilizers like animal manure, compost, and cover crops.
Order this free Canada Day bulletin insert for a Sunday near July 1 and pass along CRWRC's thanks to the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and your congregation for helping to make creation care and food security programs possible.
