CRWRC’s focus on the world’s poorest communities has included addressing AIDS for two decades. The CRWRC
Embrace AIDS Campaign is a multi-year effort to raise more than $3 million to increase awareness, prayer, and advocacy for the AIDS pandemic.
The Embrace AIDS Bulletin Insert tells the story of Kabale, Uganda, a community where 20,000 of 60,000 residents are HIV-positive or living with AIDS. In just a few years, Christian churches in Kabale involved more than 6,000 residents and AIDS orphans in small groups that provide education, medicine, orphan care, and respite to the church and community.
This insert asks North American congregations like yours to remember the millions of people in developing countries who have HIV and AIDS. The insert highlights verses from Isaiah 49:15-16, “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands…” Join in, pray for, and remember with CRWRC those who live positively with AIDS in Kabale and in 17 developing countries around the world.
