Description
Is faith against science? Can one be a believer and a scientist at the same time? What does the Bible say about science? In what matters does science stand oppose to the Bible? The author's purpose is to answer these questions without easy concessions, but on the contrary, through a thorough analysis of the relationships and potential conflicts between science and faith. Faith in a Creator allows you to integrate a reality that science divides in different disciplines, and also allows to proclaim a natural visible "order", which in turn is the creed of the scientific method. Far from alienating created humans beings, the creation is an act of love and freedom, which underpins the reality of our world and makes us responsible beings, free and able to love. After the first introductory chapter to the history of modern science, the author argues the fundamentals of a Christian philosophy of science. And she addresses all those who, experts or not, are interested in this issue of permanent relevance since Galileo.
